Unbelievable - I did it AGAIN!

Yep. Unbelievable. I won page of the day AGAIN. Two months in a row! This time the product I got was way cool... A chipboard mini book kit, chipboard words, chipboard alphas and a bazzill colour wheel. Like I said, way cool. Awesome, thanks Rach. :) So here it goes - my take on the snow we had a few weeks back....

Having a great week this week - I think that I might have a few girls coming to my Stampin Up party next month which is great... it's always hard to talk people into coming to 'tupperware party' type things. On the outside they say sure, but on the inside sometimes you can tell they are cringing (I do it myself!). Anyhoo, I think that I will have enough people coming to have a good gathering, and we can drink to my birthday at the same time! Nice!
Righto - best get off to work, might try to update again tonight if I have time. Toodles peeps, B x

MORE piggies? OINK OINK OINK!

Ha ha ha, no really. It's true. I now have ANOTHER piggy - this one is an iPig, a set of pig shaped speakers that pay surround sound music from your iPod. WAY cool. The sound is incredible! It just arrived at work today on the courier and I love it already! I will post a picture of it tonight when I am at home.

Updated 9pm - here's a pic!

SEE? I told you it was cool!

Pink Piggies!!!

Oh, Hello again! - I just thought of something else I should tell you about... yup, pink piggies! I have to say that the BNZ absolutely ROCKS, in particular Lisa Tait from our local branch, who has helped us change over to the BNZ from stinky old Westpac. We even all got pink piggy banks - see?

Isn't she cute?! J said we have to name our piggies, so mine is called Petunia! She lives on my scrap table at the moment, and is currently EMPTY (sadly!) If anyone would like to make a donation to Beck's Petunia fund, feel free!!!! Ha ha ha ha.

Anyhoo, the point of this post was to give BNZ a free plug - yay BNZ, yay Lisa! Everyone should pop on down and go see Lisa for some friendly helpful banking advice. No really, you SHOULD!

Gotta love the freebies ;)

Best dash off and get to work, will update again tonight, so see y'all later :)

Happy Birthday!

Here's a BIG Happy Birthday to Mum (for last Sunday)... we didn't get to see her for long on Sunday because J had a birthday party to go to at Chipmunks that went for several hours, so we were late getting to visit. Anyway, Happy Birthday Mama, love you! Here's the card I made for her...I was stoked at how it turned out :)

That's it for now, Toodles, B x

A WEE JOKE FOR TODAY....

One morning Daddy Bear came down to breakfast, to find his porridge bowl empty.

"Somebody's been eating my porridge!" said Daddy Bear.

"Someone's been eating my porridge!" said Baby Bear.

At that moment Mummy Bear came out of the kitchen and said "You stupid bastards, I haven't made it yet!"

Ba ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Gotta love the snow!!!

Yup, you gotta love it alright, just as long as we only get enough to play in - not enough to shut the whole freakin town down for a few days like we got two years ago!!! It was just awesome to sit inside with the fire roaring behind me and watch the snow peacefully fluttering down out of the sky.... to be honest it was a little mesmerising - there were plenty of other things I could have been doing, but I just had to keep watching it fall! This time I got plenty of pics...

D spent a fair bit of time towing J around the lawn on his boogie-board.... you should have heard the squeals of delight! Unfortunately on the downward slide there was not a lot to stop his momentum other than our wooden fence, a few trees, or my standard roses. Luckily J's a tough guy! Oh and of course there were quite a few 'wipeouts' !!!

Buzzy cat came out in the snow for a look, poor thing kept flinching every time a snowflake landed on him. In the end though, he was happy to race around like a looney tune and try to catch snowflakes falling from the sky, or snowballs being thrown by us! He was like a kitten again :)

Of course the obligatory snowman had to be built - J decided that his snowman had to be a boogie-boarding snowman... typical!

Later on in the afternoon, we went out for another play, and J had a turn towing D for a change!

As you can see the snow was still falling quite heavily as we were hanging around outside. Not to mention it was bloody cold!!!! Ha ha ha.

J (also now known as Evil Knievel) decided it would be really wise to try to ride his bike in the snow as well... He did surprisingly well actually :)

Then it was time for some practical chores - the boys cleared the front path so that we could get in and out of the house without slipping.

Although the cold weather DID provide us with plenty of time to do stuff indoors. J and I made cards for Nanny Scott - she turned 84 last week, but we couldn't go visit while J had the chicken pox and I had a cold. Anyway, we made the cards and dropped them in her mailbox, just to be safe. At that age she doesn't need sick people visiting :) Here's J at my scrap table using some leftovers to make his card for Nan...

Butter wouldn't melt..... (NOT!)

Ta-daaa - the finished products! I had a quick play with my new punch, and J made a really cute card with pictures of people on motorbikes inside...

Now we come to Sunday - check out the cheeky monkey that had to practically destroy the snowman he had built the previous day... he pulled it's hat and scarf off, ripped out the carrot nose, then proceeded to scale it like a mountain climber!...

This is the 'Cheeky Monkey' face....

And I call this one the 'cheese' face. At the moment when you point a camera at him, he either yells 'cheese' continuously, or waves his hands in front of his face giving you a big 'thumbs up' thereby obstructing his face and the general point of taking the damn photo!!!

I DID manage to get my double layout finished during the cold snowy weekend though, and I am relatively pleased with how it turned out...

Oh, and the OTHER exciting news - I won one of the Stampin' Up prizes from Nic Howard's blog last week! Check it out here Fantastic! I happily await the arrival of my slightly used (only once, mind) Stampin' Up Stamp Roller - yeah!
.
Well, that's about it from me peoples... I have officially now run out of things to tell you! Hope all is well in your parts of the world, lots of love and hugs from us to you. Toodles, B x

Spots anyone?

Well, this is what they looked like first thing this morning, and I can assure you that there are plenty more now, and they're getting bigger and uglier all the time, poor wee man...
Yup, our house is poxed - J has the chicken pox, joy oh joy. And of course, INCREDIBLE timing, D is in Melbourne for work. Fan-freakin-tastic! D left on Sunday morning, and J was atrocious Sunday afternoon and Monday. I blamed his behaviour on the fact that he was missing his Daddy so much, but apparently there was another reason for him being such a little shit! Oops.
As is generally the case when these things happen, I have run out of sick leave at work, and with D away, I just have to wear it for now. Thankfully, D is heading home tomorrow (two days earlier than originally planned) so that he can take over the pox-sitting duties on Friday and Monday so that I can get back into the office for a bit.
Never rains but it pours huh? The good news is that I finally got my assignments finished this morning (yes, even with J climbing all over me and 'helping' me to type them out), so tonight I don't HAVE to study - I intend to sit on my arse and do NOTHING all night until I have to go to bed from the utter exhaustion of doing nothing for so long! Ha ha ha ha ha!
That's it from me for this week's update anyways. Hope you lot are all well and good - hugs from me - can you tell that I am missing the adult company?! :(
